Tutorial 2: Entering notes

Finale offers many different note entry methods. The Simple Entry tool itself can be used to click notes onto a staff, or enter notes with your computer keyboard, or with a MIDI keyboard. The HyperScribe tool allows you to record your music onto the staff in real-time using a MIDI keyboard. In this tutorial, you can learn how to enter notes using either of these methods.

If you would like to learn how to enter using your mouse and keyboard, choose "Path 1 - Simple Entry without a MIDI keyboard." If you have a MIDI keyboard, and would like to play music into your score, choose "Path 2 - Playing-in Music: HyperScribe."
