To hide a rest (Simple Entry)

1. Click the Simple Entry tool . The Simple Entry Palettes appear.
2. CTRL+click a note or enter a note with the caret. The note is selected.
3. Type H. The rest changes to a lighter shade indicating it is hidden. It will not appear on the printed page.
