To change percussion instruments mid-score, see Adding mid-score instrument changes. When you switch percussion instruments, Finale applies all related instrument changes automatically, even if the new instrument requires a different Percussion MIDI Map for proper playback.

Tip: This technique can also be used to change from non-pitched to pitched percussion instruments.
